360 Leadership Reviews
The Review
The 360 Leadership Review utilizes a survey instrument designed by James Kouzes and Barry Posner to assess the usage of five key leadership practices and compare individual results to a database of thousands of participants.Research performed by Kouzes and Posner over two decades identified five practices that were common to most extraordinary leadership achievements:
- Modeling the way
- Inspiring a shared vision
- Challenging the process
- Enabling others to act
- Encouraging the heart
The process for providing the review consists of four steps:

Six observers are chosen by the participant and his/her manager to provide 360 degree feedback.Typically this will be the participant’s manager, 2-3 co-workers, and 2-3 direct reports.

Choice Solutions administers the survey and solicits anecdotal feedback from the observers to provide additional depth of review.

Survey results are compiled and a report is generated.

In a meeting with the participant and his/her manager, Choice Solutions reviews the report, areas for improvement are identified, and a development plan is initiated.
The Workshop
Additional classroom learning and facilitated development planning is provided through a four- hour workshop.The objectives of the workshop are as follows:
- Describe The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership
- Relate how The Five Practices apply to each individual’s leadership
- Use survey feedback to identify strengths and weaknesses
- Choose actions for improving your ability as a leader
- Commit to actions you will take in the next three weeks
